An Introduction to CollegeCare®

Living and studying in a new culture can be challenging. To successfully accomplish your goals, you will need the right support – both inside and outside the classroom. Your time in the U.S. will offer many exciting opportunities and amazing experiences. With guidance from University Bridge’s expert advisors, you can make the most of your time here – and confidently progress to your top-choice university.

Our students tell us there are so many questions they didn’t even know they’d have until they got here!
Here are a few you might encounter:

  • How do you register for classes?
  • What if you want to change your major?
  • Can you cope with university level study in English?
  • Who can you talk to about your progress?
  • Where will you live? How will you furnish your apartment?
  • Who will help guide you academically and ensure you are on track?
  • How do you open a bank account?
  • What happens if you need to go the doctor or the hospital?
  • What do you need to know before you learn to drive?

You’ll have your own personal advisor to help you with all of the above, along with anything else you might face during your time in the U.S. We call this CollegeCare®.

Thanks to CollegeCare®, University Bridge students become top achievers with impressive results. Like our 2019 Virginia class – 100% of students were admitted to a top 30 university or program!

CounselorConnect®: Your Personal Advisor

Your personal advisor will meet with you at least twice a month to discuss your progress, plans, and any help you need in college or your daily life. They will also work with you outside of these meetings on anything else you might need.

Our advisors are graduates from universities such as Columbia, Stanford, Duke, Michigan, and the University of Virginia, so they know what it takes to get admitted to the best universities in the country. Our advisors are all hardworking, smart and talented individuals, so we’re happy to have them on our team – and you’ll be happy to have them on your team, too!

Each advisor is responsible for around 15 students, which makes it easy for advisors to get to know each student individually, and tailor their coaching to that student’s needs, goals and aspirations.

On average, our students receive 150 hours of one-to-one coaching and advising. Every student has different needs, and we never cap the amount of assistance anyone receives – if you need more one-on-one guidance, you will get it!
